Pinot Blanc is, like Riesling, a demanding grape variety: it requires warm, deep and properly exposed soils. Correct thinning of the vine at the right maturity level is also essential to reveal the richness of its aromas. On the banks of the Moselle valley, with its shell limestone soil, Pinot Blanc can develop its full character.
